REF: your article on the dumped syringes August 11’s Argus.
It would have been good if the council spokeswoman thanked young Connor Morris for reporting the dangerous find and perhaps a little reward for him would also been nice.
Perhaps it might be sensible for the council to inspect “private land “ as they stated more often and we the tax payers would be saved thousands of pounds because all this dumped rubbish gets blown all across Newport on a windy day.
If the council would drop my council tax, I would do a neighbourhood watch on rubbish in my locality and take it down the tip.
