I WAS sorry to read your article regarding a former care home supervisor, who was found guilty of the mistreatment of a resident at Regency House, Pontypool.
My wife has been resident there for just over a year, and I go in virtually everyday to see her.
The best way I can describe the staff is that they are lovely and delightful, compassionate and caring, and while keeping their professional integrity, they are a ‘bit of fun!’ The home itself maintains its professional standards, but has that ‘homely’ atmosphere.
I wholeheartedly support the manager and owners of the home, and I totally agree with the resident’s grand-daughter that the home NOT to blame and that this was just one bad apple.
