PLAID Cymru defector Gary Price, who stood for Plaid at the last Assembly election in 2011, sees no contradiction in defecting to the Tories, where he has been selected to fight the Brecon and Radnorshire seat at next May’s election.
When asked about his conversion to Tory politics, Mr Price said he sees no contradiction in his political position.
Plaid has long been called the daffodil Tories, this latest defection follows on heals of Plaid defectors Guto Bebb (now the Tory MP for Aberconwy) and Mohammad Asghar (a regional AM for South East Wales).
All these defections from Plaid Cymru to the Tories tell us that Plaid Cymru are indeed the daffodil Tories.
