I AM fed up with the treatment of disabled passengers by some drivers of Stagecoach: they not only don’t stop close enough to the raised kerb so disabled people can get their walkers on the bus without having to lift them, they will not stop for disabled passengers when being flagged down, yet I have seen them stop for the able bodied when flagged down, making me think that the bus drivers treat the infirm with contempt. I would further point out it’s not the choice of the genuine disabled to be disabled.
