AS the summer holidays come to an end, most children will be looking forward to a final few weeks of carefree play, fun and freedom.
However for hundreds of children in care across South Wales, the coming weeks will bring anxiety and uncertainty. Some of these children have been through very sad experiences in life. They are all waiting for a stable, loving foster home.
Barnardo’s is looking for people who can offer that. Particularly, we are looking for people who can offer foster homes to older children, children with disabilities, and siblings. We welcome people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds; the crucial skills you need are patience and care.
From the moment you decide to change a child’s life for the better, it is a truly rewarding experience, and Barnardo’s will support you every step of the way. To find out more, please call 0800 0277 280 or visit www.barnardos.org.uk/fostering
