I READ with interest every day the letters sent in by Andrew Nutt, telling us all we should vote for Plaid in May’s Assembly elections, as the credible alternative to this failed Labour Government we have, in Wales.
I am afraid Andrew is totally deluded in his thinking.
Plaid is even more left wing than Jeremy Corbyn and only has one real aim.
That is to enforce the Welsh language on everybody who lives in Wales, irrespective of cost to the country.
Plaid also need to find a more credible leader than Leanne Woods, somebody who is prepared to also work for the English-speaking people who live in Wales who, believe it or not, have equal rights to Welsh speakers.
Plaid also need a leader who has some understanding of economics. So Plaid have no chance next May. But who do we vote for?
We have a shambolic Labour government which has completely failed Wales in every possible way.
A party who Rhodri Morgan said would, “eradicate child poverty by 2020”.
What a joke.
All the recent reports show that child poverty in Wales, and poverty in general, is on the rise and will continue to rise.
These facts alone, show how incompetent Labour have been. What then of the Tories, who are in power in Westminster. What have they done for Wales?
 Not a lot.
They have managed to completely let the steel industry down, not only in Wales, but elsewhere in the UK.
Not only have they failed to help provide lower business rates and cheaper energy costs for the industry but they have said, only this week, that they want China to be our leading trade customer.
China, who have flooded the world with cheap steel and have helped to cause this problem in the industry.
Wales has, throughout history, always produced very high quality steel and the government should have done everything in its power to help that continue.
Tories constantly deride the EU, but in the case of the steel industry they hide behind the EU skirt to say the EU rules prevent them helping further.
Similarly they failed to stop the USA putting a huge import duty on our steel going into the States. So who on earth are we going to vote for in May?
Hopefully somebody will come forward who could really lead Wales out of this downward spiral.
Somebody who is not out to feather their own nest.
We can but wait and hope.
