THE Welsh left-wing media are always good for a chuckle and their hype over the Assembly elections next year has got to be applauded.
One does not need a crystal ball to predict a large win for John Griffiths, and whoever is lucky enough to receive the red rosette from Rosemary Butler will be in line for a third of a million payout over their term of the Assembly – a very profitable little stint.
We will look forward over the next five years to the planned and managed decline of the town, sorry city of Newport, while they throw vast amounts of taxpayers/EU cash at anything with a CF postcode.
Wales as a whole will slide down the league table on everything. Uncle Carwyn will blame cuts from Westminster and our Rose will no doubt get her wish to expand the size of the Assembly.
