I AM WRITING to let your readers know about a great new opportunity coming to St Michaels Community Centre, Pen-y-Pound, Abergavenny on Friday 20 November.
RNIB Cymru and the Big Lottery Fund are helping people within Abergavenny and the Heads of the Valleys with sensory loss, whether it’s sight or hearing, to experience the world of technology – to touch, feel and experience the digital world.
We are showing how people with limited sight or hearing can use smart phones and tablets to stay in touch with friends and family, to shop and bank online, keep a Facebook profile up to date and how to use e-readers, such as kindles.
Come along and see us, enjoy a cuppa, and find out the benefits of getting online.
We’ve a selection of digital machines that you can try out.
Come and see us on Friday November 20 at St Michaels Community Centre, Pen-y-Pound, Abergavenny between 10am and 2pm.
The centre is just behind St Michaels Catholic Church and has ample parking.
You can save yourself a seat, just ring us on our 24 hour automated booking line on 029 2082 8548, e-mail us at OnlineTodayCymru@rnib.org.uk or for further information call 029 2082 8518 (office hours).
It’s all free!
