IN RESPONSE to Brynglas Tunneller re Friars walk parking charges, good for you! I shall continue going to Cwmbran where parking is free. The new development is supposed to be bringing people to the city so two hours for free would have been an ideal day one tactic! Once people are returning to the city centre and footfall is high, then consider charges in a strategic move. Let’s face it. The development isn’t yet full and there is still empty space – why would anyone pay for that?!
