MORE Assembly Members? Once again a politician has demonstrated how out of touch they are with the general electorate and people whom they represent, this time its Dame Rosemary Butler.
Her statement that she wants the Welsh Assembly to be increased from 60 members to 80 and possibly even 100 in the future beggars belief.
This at a time when Welsh council tax payers are getting reduced and in some case cancelled services from their particular authorities, for ever higher payments.
This United Kingdom of ours is already vastly over-governed, what with the European Parliament, our own Parliament with over 650 members, the unelected House of Lords with over 700 members, the Welsh Assembly 60 members and counting, county councils and city and town councils.
It’s no wonder that good common sense decisions that affect us all are as rare as rocking horse dung, i.e the M4 relief road.
Over £50 million spent so far and not a shovel of tarmac has been laid, yet plots of prime building land have been sold at vastly below their worth.
So come on Rosemary never mind jobs for the boys or in this case girls, lets generate quality jobs for the whole of Wales.
