AS A LONG time believer in recycling I was interested in the letter by P Bartalotti about recycling. Living in Monmouth council area we are bombarded with figures about the percentages we need to achieve, and proposed costs to do so. Recently I was involved in the disposal of printer/toner cartridges. Obviously, the boxes went with cardboard but no-one could tell me what to do with the plaster and colour components. I rang Monmouth council twice but no-one could help. The attitude was “throw them in the bin”. We have facilities for batteries, paint etc at waste sites, why not printer components?
