IN PREVIOUS assembly elections I have always given second vote to Plaid Cymru  and also frequently voted for them in council elections.
I didn’t on this occasion because I could see they were prepared to risk the economic future of South Wales by pandering to voters in North Wales in opting for a downgrade on the M4
It appears it was the right decision since the treachery and hypo racy shown by them going back on a commitment not to work with either Conservative party or Ukip is shameful.
I would also add the that in a period when our steel industry is in mortal danger and the most important vote most of us are likely to make – concerning the EU – is not that far away, that to have a week of political disruption now is the last thing that Wales needs.
Whilst most people will not be sorry to see the back of Leighton Andrews following Leanne Wood’s defeat of him in the Rhondda I think both she and her party have lost the plot and will pay the cost in future elections.
