IT’S very good news that more than 900 new homes have been built in Newport over the past 12 months. But I just hope that the new homeowners are in good health, because with the state of the GP practices in Newport at the moment, how anyone will ever get to see a doctor is a mystery.
The Gaer surgery has now been taken over by St David’s and they have now taken over Central surgery.
I know several people who were with St David’s before the takeover and had difficulty getting an appointment then.
My husband and I haven’t got a clue who our doctors are and what the new arrangements are.
We’ve had no communication from them at all or from Aneurin Bevan Health Board.
So good luck to all the new families moving in – and stay healthy.
