APPARENTLY permission has been granted for 29 affordable houses at Trewellyn Road in Rogerstone (August 4).
There seems to be a real need for extra houses as obviously the hundreds of houses being built at Jubilee Park, the old Dudleys site, and Bethesda Field are not enough!
Should we be worried about the Welfare grounds!
Has anyone thought about the extra pressure this will put on local amenities, not to mention schools and doctors surgeries?
Twenty-nine houses might not sound much but with an average of two to four people per house this could work out at an average of 58 to 100 extra people in just that one area.
I can remember when you could not build on green field sites only brown, but looks like that law has been scrapped.
