CITIZENS of Woodside and Maesglas were invited to a tea party at John Frost School. Lovely young ladies in smart uniforms met the bus as it drew up at the entrance. We were escorted to our table which were laden with lovely cakes, chocolates, a nice cup of hot tea/coffee and lots of sandwiches. We were entertained by the pupils with singing, piano, saxaphone, a very nice speech from Macbeth - excellent! We had a quiz where the girls vs boys joined in. We laughed together and were told how much fun they had with us (of course our team won the quiz.) They were all very kind and polite. A credit to their teachers and parents. Thank you everyone for such a very nice afternoon. I’m 82 years of age but with these youngsters I felt like a school girl again. They said they loved meeting us and they had enjoyed themselves as much as we had. Thank you all once more. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
