ONCE again Torfaen council have put up Christmas lights on the Highway in New Inn. I know the festive season is approaching in about six weeks so Christmas lights in the streets in November is ridiculous but how can it be acceptable to erect Christmas lights when half the street lights in New Inn are switched off to save money which means dark mornings and dark afternoons. I have contacted Torfaen council and been told Christmas lights are from a different budget there is only one budget as far as I am concerned and that comes from the public who pay their council tax.
