HOW refreshing to read such a wonderful report about a school for young people with special educational needs!
I have two teenage children, both considered to be above average ability, in a local mainstream school.
They would love to have the facilities at this school, particularly the opportunity for a curriculum that aims to enable them to function in “the real world”.
They were especially interested in budgeting skills, and the chance to work in a real café, with useful careers advice. Not to mention sports facilities to allow them to compete for Wales!
I am thrilled these facilities are being offered to our children with extra needs, I just wish they were available to all our children!
