WHY do all TV dramas now look as though they were made during a power-cut.
We have all seen scenes where someone is supposedly sitting reading under a light which is less than you would get from a candle.
It is not “atmospheric” it is stupid.
What do the cast of these shows feel like about being moved from acting to being the ‘stooges’ of the lighting director?
The script and acting ability seem secondary to being in the correct spot to ensure the cheekbones are illuminated.
Wherever the scene is shot, whether it is in homes or workplaces or anywhere else, they are all in semi-darkness.
If it continues can we apply for the cheaper black and white TV licence?
