NURSES will get a “derisory” pay rise of less than a fiver a week while MP’s enjoy a £1,000 annual hike, it was announced yesterday.
Most NHS staff were given 1% as MP’s pay swells by 1.4% to £76,011.
This hand-out is an “insult”, the NHS staffing crisis will worsen as people leave for less stressful, better rewarded jobs elsewhere.
