WHILE Joan Briggs (letter 30.3.17) was dutifully serving the public in South East Wales for 40 years in the NHS, local and central government and education, without any requests for official forms in Welsh language, I was employed in the British Steel Industry.
We never had problems only using the English language in Wales or England.
Surely we all want Wales to prosper and succeed sooner rather than later, especially for our younger generations to follow in the footsteps of our excellent English speaking Welsh citizens in business, politics, health, education, sport, media etc.
To quote a Rob Allen song “I was made in Wales!”, therefore although not taught the Welsh language- I am Welsh!
