TRAVELLERS pitching in Coronation Park (Argus 4 May) due to a gate being left unlocked. Locks and locked gates are no hindrance to travellers.

Last year they arrived at the Glebelands, they quickly solved the problem of a locked barrier by cutting the lock off and fitting their own lock which meant that members of the model railway club couldn’t get in.

The travellers also gained access to their pitch by speeding through the playing fields crowded with children. Waving bits of paper at them is a waste of time.

When will the so called authorities wake up and take action?
