CONTRARY to your correspondent, Norman Plaisted, I would urge that, for the sake of our country, Jeremy Corbyn must win the election on June 8.
It’s all very well Theresa May being happy to be described by Kenneth Clark MP as “a bloody difficult woman”, but this kind of temperament is hardly what is required to deal with the complex negotiations necessary for Brexit to take place.

No, what is required is a cool-headed person, one who is reasonable and can see things from both sides.

Theresa May has already got EU leaders’ backs up by making threats and ‘waving the big stick’. This will now, no doubt, make it that much harder for us if she continues as Prime Minister.

Fortunately, we now have a chance to elect a ‘fresh face’. One, who, whilst being firm, has the experience of over 30 years in Parliament and the integrity to negotiate a sensible agreement with which both sides can be happy.

So I appeal to Norman and all readers, please don’t waste your vote by voting for a ‘hothead’.

Vote for Jeremy Corbyn, who will deliver a Brexit which will serve us all much better in the years to come.
