WELL, so far from being even-handed and non-partisan, Wednesday’s edition of the Argus was more like a Labour Party handout, with a huge four-page cover advertisement, a half-page message from Paul Flynn and two more articles heavily featuring Labour Party politicians and personalities.
Were other parties offered similar coverage? If not, why not?
And shouldn’t the Argus go out of its way to guarantee fair balance in its reporting and party political advertising?
I feel that the Argus has let itself and its readership down badly by seeming to favour one party to the total exclusion of others.

Editor’s note:
The South Wales Argus is proud of its record of remaining politically impartial. All political parties use paid-for advertising in the run-up to elections. Wednesday’s paper carried advertisements from both Labour and the Conservative Party. That does not mean we endorse either one or the other.
