INFLATION rose to its highest level in nearly four years last month.
This puts huge pressure on household spending, especially the just about managing.
It hit 2.9% up from 2.7% in April, leaving wages trailing at around 2.1%.
With Wales having such a fragile economy means its the first to suffer and the last to recover.
