TO ENSURE a functioning Parliamentary majority Theresa May concludes a deal with the DUP; in the interests of transparency publishes the agreement in full; and is immediately accused of giving them a ‘bung’.

The £1 billion being given is for Northern Ireland – and not to the DUP – represents good value for the UK if it keeps Jeremy Corbyn out of Downing Street and John McDonnell away from the Treasury.
Criticisms abound from the other devolved governments – no surprise there then.

But surely the most pernicious and worrying criticisms regarding the DUP come from those politicians who are anti life, and anti family, as they attack the DUP for their unashamedly Christian stance on moral issues, that the UK has ideologically redefined, and imposed by law.

They have been branded toxic, intolerant, and bigoted simply because they adhere to the traditional teachings of Christianity, and refuse to endorse the killing of unborn children, via abortion, or same sex marriage.
Who are the real bigots here?

Sadly, what we are seeing is nothing less than the systematic demonization of Christians by those who want justification and social endorsement of the new morality, and who want to drive all expression of Christianity from the public arena.
