MAY I through your paper take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with Blaenavon Leg Club, which unfortunately closed in May of this year. These include family, friends and patients who over the past nine years have given tremendous support to the organisation.
It was decided that funds raised to purchase equipment and pay rent, (no longer needed), would be donated to local charities and good causes.
Donations have been made to British Heart Foundation (Wales), St David’s Hospice, Cancer Care Unit at Nevill Hall, Thrombosis UK, Forgeside Mini Rugby, Blaenavon Blues Mini Soccer, Blaenavon Heritage School, Blaenavon Brownies, Lincoln Legs and Blaenavon Branch of the Royal British Legion.
It is hoped that these donations will help these organisations continue the important work that they do.
Once again on behalf of Blaenavon Leg Club, many thanks.
