CLLR Nigel Dix criticises “the Labour led assembly and two previous assembly members” for failing to deliver a rail link from Ebbw Vale to Newport (Letters, 13th July).
Yet only two weeks ago, the Argus was reporting that Islwyn’s Rhianon Passmore AM and Newport East’s Jayne Bryant AM had met Network Rail and Arriva Trains Wales representatives, to welcome plans to develop the railway line and permit a crucial service between Ebbw Vale and Newport to be delivered.
I’m sure Cllr Dix will want to congratulate these two excellent Labour AMs for campaigning on behalf of our communities.
