I’VE got a great idea, but it’s a little controversial.

I propose that we release all of the prisoners serving sentences for murder and then give them the opportunity, on TV and radio, to express their views on leaving the EU - a sort of Question Time for psychopaths.

I imagine there may be great public outcry at this groundbreaking notion of mine, and I seriously doubt whether the media will give the killers any airtime.

But if that’s the case, then why is the shameless Tony Blair allowed on our TV screens to give his opinions on Brexit - a man responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan; in invasions we now know were planned by the US years before the phoney WMD claims - and even 9/11.

“Ah,” you may say: “... but Blair has never - so far - been convicted of any crimes”. Yes, but nor had Jimmy Savile, but he has - quite rightly - been virtually “airbrushed” from media output, including him being fervently edited out of BBC4’s Top of the Pops repeats.

In effect, you can appear on British TV after slaughtering thousands of foreign children - as long you didn’t molest any of them. And some people wonder why super-intelligent beings in outer space don’t want to contact us.
