IN MY LETTERS against the enforced learning of the Welsh language I have had some rebuttal letters.
Some have contained abuse but none have contained facts.
I therefore challenge the promoters of the Welsh language to write a letter showing how Wales will benefit from moving to the Welsh language.
This challenge also includes AM Alun Davies.
To help them I will list what the majority of the population either want or in some cases desperately need.
1 Attract business, hence jobs, into Wales.
2 Improved standards of living.
3 Improved communications with other countries. (This will help with items 1 and 2.)
If there is no sensible reply within two weeks it will confirm that the reason for pushing the Welsh language is not about improving the everyday lives of the people living in Wales but an indulgent exercise by a minority which will isolate Wales and make the people of Wales poorer.
From many conversations I have with people I find that most feel that moving to the Welsh language is a negative step. They also feel that they are being ignored.
So I ask them to revive the Chartist Spirit and let their AMs know their views.
