ISN’T it inspiring in these troubled days to see young people embracing the apprenticeship ideals so keenly promoted in recent times.

After all, the twelve year olds responsible for the criminal damage perpetrated in Hawthorne Fosse are already well on their way to becoming fully fledged thugs and hence, in all probability, convicts.

How encouraged must their parents be that their furtive and hoodied offspring are taking such a vigorous, if somewhat divergent, direction in furthering their educational development.

How proud they will feel on visiting day.

As Shakespeare so prophetically said, “O brave new world, that has such people in it.”
