MAY we take this opportunity to inform the residents of Blackwood of two exciting up-coming events?
Firstly a Christmas Fair will be held on Friday December 1 at Blackwood Comprehensive School Hall, open to the public 3.30pm to 6pm, where there will be over 30 stalls selling quality handmade crafts and gifts. There will also be refreshments available.
Then on Saturday December 2, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday December 3, 10am to 4pm, there is the Blackwood Winter Fair. This years’ fair will include street theatre, food, craft and charity stalls, funfair rides, local dance groups, bands, a choir, real reindeer and a spectacular Santa’s Grotto inside Tidal’s Store.
There will also be a visit from the special man himself on Saturday when Santa will arrive on his sleigh at approximately 4.30pm outside Wilkinsons proceeded by the Newport Pipe and Drums Band when the Christmas lights sponsored by Blackwood town council will be switched on.
