MY LONG standing home was burgled recently, a distressing event, particularly for someone like myself in their 9th decade.
Articles of sentimental value were stolen - my grandmother’s decorative six fish knives and forks.
My fathers gold pocket watch and six small silver teaspoons with decorated handles which he bought in February 1918 while on army leave. Later that year he marched into Jerusalem in the brigade led by General Allenby.
