FOLLOWING the recent announcement from the council in regard to Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre, I wish to thank all residents, campaigners for all their lobbying, and I’m so very pleased the council will be deferring any decision following further consultation, after my motion with all party councillors calling in the previous cabinet decision.
This is a victory for common sense and for all the users of the Leisure Centre here at Pontllanfraith, and congratulations to the many hundreds of people who have contacted me and signed the petition.
