ONCE again Wales is the only region in the UK where unemployment has gone up. Even Northern Ireland and the North East have bucked the trend. Wales continues its inexorable slide into economic oblivion.
And this the area which against all reason voted to cut off its lifeline to the EU at the bidding of millionaires and data harvesters who have only contempt for this suicidal region.
Wales is a net beneficiary of EU funding and depends more than most regions for access to our near Continental neighbours. Instead we have fantasies of new trade agreements with far off lands like New Zealand - an agreement which in this case might well obliterate the Welsh lamb industry. Welsh unemployment? - be afraid, be very afraid.
