Many of the remain campaigners have never lived under the rule of the UK as constituted prior to our joining what was originally the European Economic Community and not what it has now become; the wasteful and centralised bureaucracy that is the United States Of Europe. They would not recall the tremendous lakes of wine it produced, the butter mountains, the destruction of perfectly good food to maintain an inflated price to support the common agricultural policy in order to sustain the subsidies paid to EU farmers; many of whom qualified for these large sums by owning nothing more than two cows and a chicken. They would not be aware of the EU. commissioners who decimated our fishing industries; while systematically stripping the democratic institutions of a sovereign state to leave us diminished of our right to make law and control our economic well being and the ability to control who we allow into our country and who we can deport. Let us not forget the high cost of our contribution to this failed experiment. The country of Great Britain has given so much to the world; I for one will not be tolerant of faceless and undemocratic mandarins treating the population of my country with the disdain they have displayed during the negotiations.
