My thanks to Victoria voters

I WOULD like to thank the residents of Victoria Ward for taking the time to go to vote for myself, Chris Jenkins and my colleague, Majid Rahman. We would like to thank each and every person who helped us by leafleting, door knocking and putting posters up, the list goes on.

We now have so much hard work ahead of us to reverse the neglect of the previous Con-Dem administration.

We both stand by our promise and that is to work hard and do everything in our power for Victoria Ward and the residents of Newport.

Councillors Chris Jenkins and Majid Rahman, London Street, Newport

A R Hill is right. Thirty years of neglect and in an instant these two think they can turn Maindee into some sort of oasis
Be careful what you promise and can't deliver; not that this seems to resonate with Victoria residents who had Mrs Jenkins as their councillor before and rejected her for neglecting Victoria from 2004-2008. Amnesia attack.

Poor Mrs Jenkins - she has kindly overlooked her previous period in office which wasn't exactly a period of active community representation and involvement. Labour hot air as usual I think.

Does they think that the people of Newport are stupid enough to believe that the Coalition Council caused all the problems for Newport? No it was the Labour Party! Blaming them for shop closures when your Party is the reason they are moving out to Spytty because of lower rates and round the clock delivery.
