IN REPLY to the letter from Plaid activists Mr A Nutt and Mr G Erasmus where they argue there are too many councillors in Caerphilly.
I note their conversion to the cause of fewer councillors comes weeks after their humiliating defeat in Caerphilly, where Plaid were all but wiped off the map.
As a councillor, I know the work many elected members do.
Councillors are often the first point of contact for constituents, dealing with issues only a councillor can resolve.
I note Blackwood Town Council, where Mr Erasmus was co-opted, has 16 members, perhaps Mr Erasmus could start his cull with Blackwood Town Council? So, come on Plaid, less of the sour grapes, the people have spoken and given you the order of the boot.
Councillor Nigel Dix, Montclaire Avenue, Blackwood
