THE CITY of Newport branch of the Royal Welsh Comrades would like to thank the city’s mayor and the many dignitaries and all those representatives from the various associations, including the many standard-bearers, who took part in the commemorative D-Day parade and service held on Wednesday June 6, of this year. The branch would also like to extend their thanks to the fire service who once again provided transport to the Royal British Legion.
Once again many thanks to you all for your support on this day, above all we give our thanks that the rain stayed away just till the end of the parade and service.
