REFERENCE D R Hall’s comments on the Royal Standard (Letters, June 21), I believe he is correct, surely one quarter could go to Wales. Or should that be half if Scotland leaves the union?
The fact Ireland has left and only Northern Ireland is still in suggest the harp should also be reconsidered. The sad thing is these heraldic devices have had so little meaning in the last few years.
Perhaps those who favour the United Kingdom should now seek up-to-date heraldic devices. Or should we allow the enemies of the British peoples to divide and conquer us by promoting the current devices?
However, answer this: as there are immigrant populations bigger than the population of Wales, should their symbols be included?
Or should we keep it simple, capitulate to Europe and fly their flag and that of its president?
