Bit of Tarmac and it’s sorted

First published in Letters

DURING the 1950s, on seeing a steel coil that had fallen off a lorry near Abergavenny, my father made the statement: “They can’t built a roundabout in Monmouthshire, there is no camber.”

This is still true today, so there we have the answer: six inches of Tarmac around the outside of the roundabout.

Job done.
