Flagging up issue for Wales

With reference to Mr Morgan’s letter of August 1, regarding the lack of Welsh flags in local shops. I agree with his sentiments.

Wales is a country in its own right and our flag should be flown at every opportunity. Unfortunately, I can only do my shopping at supermarkets just as many others are obliged to do, so instead of boycotting, I have resolved to complain at the shop every time I visit. I have found that the staff agree with me, but the management won’t do anything about it to avoid upsetting the shareholders in England. I urge you all to complain whenever you visit a supermarket. Take simple action, do your bit and and change Wales for the better.

This is a joke, right? Boycotting shops because they don't display a flag? These nationalists should realise that life isn't one big rugby match! Displaying flags is more likely to upset people than displaying none. Do you display the town flag? The county flag? The Welsh flag? The British flag? The European flag? The Commonwealth flag? The United Nations flag? All of them? There are bound to be some minority groups who feel aggrieved that you've excluded them and who will write letters to the local paper expressing their outrage. Thankfully, not everyone is like you.
