Llanyrafon Manor is well worth a visit

Friends and I recently spent a couple of hours at Llanyrafon Manor, a rather quaint building with many differing architectural features, like many dwellings of its period, forever evolving through the centuries. There are many fact sheets to read on its history and also plenty of utensils in the kitchen pertaining to a bygone age. A warm welcome was also experienced in the Strawberry Café, which was recently opened. A varied menu was available and we were lucky enough to dine al fresco, which made for a very pleasant experience enjoyed by all. Worth a visit.

Thank you Mr Steve Palmer, yes isn't Llanyrafon Manor a hidden gem in Torfaen.

I am the owner of the cafe (its called The Raspberry Tearoom ) and delighted to have our Tea Room located in this lovely old house. The Llanyrafon Manor Community Group are an amazing group of local people who fought to keep the house and raised money through various grants to have it refurbished as it is today. They still work tirelessly at the Manor, tending the gardens, growing the kitchen garden and working as volunteers on weekends greeting visitors and explaining the history of the house.

We are hoping for a continued support from the community and surrounding areas. Lets keep our heritage alive and enjoy this beautiful visitor attraction.
