Greyhound Welfare would like to thank Newport shoppers who supported our street collection in the city on Saturday,September 8, when £117.22 was raised. We were in Cowbridge on Saturday, August 11 when £189.20 was collected from the kind people there.
This money will be a great help in providing vet and kennel care for the dogs awaiting new homes. At the moment, we have 12 dogs in kennels and two in temporary foster care. Also, 16 dogs in permanent foster care. This last category means we can include owners on limited incomes who are afraid to sign adoption forms and face the horror of the inevitable vet bills.
