Any chance of a start date

In the Argus (13.9.12), yet another Newport Council spokesperson tells us that Friars Walk is due to start next year. With the disappointing news that the number of empty shops is rapidly increasing in Newport, why doesn’t the council spokesperson tell us exactly when the new development will start in order to boost the citizens’ confidence? Come on, Newport Council, give us a date!
