Lib Dems need Cable to lead

I SEE in the media that Nick Clegg, knowing that he and his party will be an extinct species after the next general election, like a fish on an angler’s line, in desperation is speaking of taxing the rich as a sop to the electorate and obviously a possible alliance with the Labour Party in another coalition. He is a washed out politician striving to hang on to power. The people will not be fooled by his actions. They will see him as a shallow hypocrite and a chancer.
The only hope for the Liberal Democrats lies with Vince Cable, a party leader who appears to be a man of some substance. In our democratic society, we need a strong third political party to stand alone, looking after the interests of all the people and not the few that this present government is pursuing with its slash and destroy policies.
