Bus firm lets the city down

I WAS visiting Newport bus station after getting off the bus from Cwmbran and I sat waiting for the number 16 bus.

When I stood up, my coat was covered in bird business.

I phoned Newport Council , speaking to Andrew Scott, and received a written reply in August. He told me to get it cleaned.

I got it cleaned and sent him the receipt for cleaning. Afterwards another letter was received returning my receipt.

I believed that they would compensate me for the cleaning. Mr Scott told me that the bus station is cleaned by jet wash every day, but this is difficult to believe.

I think it should be done as it lets Newport down to visitors.

It’s not the cost, it’s the principle.
