I miss your handy benches

I HAVE had the pleasure of visiting your city centre over the last six years and have always been impressed be the cleanliness of the shopping areas and the amount of seating provided for shoppers on Commercial Street.

This year I have been disappointed to see that most of the benches have been removed and no one can explain to me why. Please put them back. I am sure I am not the only one who has missed these very necessary items of street furniture! Pamela Delahaye, Bolton
