Fond memories of old buses

IN 1948 I started my apprenticeship at the Red & White, Bulwark. In 1949 we all had our photos taken, about 150 of us. I gave my photo to the Free Press, who published it. I think we then gave it to the museum. On Saturday I went to the Ferry Hotel, where all the old buses were on show. I had a shock as there was a Red & White double-decker which I had worked on as a lad. One would often see it outside Newport Tech in Clarence Place, Newport. Years ago, Albion Square, Chepstow, was the bus park as well as the Red & White canteen and booking office. Time for a plaque, I reckon.
