I AM standing as an Independent candidate in the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner Election.
On the campaign trail, two questions continue to be raised by concerned voters. There is confusion as to whether people need to be registered in order to vote and there is also a lack of information concerning the voting process. If voters are on the electoral list then they will receive the relevant paperwork through the post. There is no requirement to register. Voters will be required to go to their local polling stations to cast their vote on Thursday, November 15, in exactly the same manner as they do at a General Election. I hope this clarification assists your readers.
Ian Johnston, Independent Candidate
