MALPAS ROAD SHOOTING: Priest urges prayers for injured

THE priest-in-charge of All Saints Church, Brynglas, spoke of his shock at the gun drama on Malpas Road on Friday.

Father Mark Soady said: "An incident like this sends shock waves through the community. Nobody expects something like this to happen in their neighbourhood.

"It is the Church's duty at a time like this to pray for, comfort and support local people - this we will do."

Prayers will be said in the church tomorrow at 10.30am for all those caught up in the incident.
